Our new-look website

We’ve improved and updated our website, giving it a fresh new look.

The site now features our 2012 imagery and a new navigation bar that’s synchronised with our latest activewear brochure. An electronic version of the brochure – 100 Reasons To Pick Fruit – is also now available for download, as are PDF spec sheets containing full details of our Mens, Ladies or Kids ranges.

Plus, we’ve added a new ‘Contact Us’ page. The page enables you to contact us direct with any questions or feedback, and will automatically channel your messages to the relevant department. Make www.fruitoftheloom.eu your first stop for imprintables in 2012.

Synchronised colours

We know how important it is for you to be able to offer matching Mens, Lady-Fit and Kids styles in the same colours. That’s why we’ve introduced 17 additional colours to key Fruit of the Loom styles in 2012.

For example, the Lady-Fit Valueweight T is now also available in Purple and Bottle Green, the Lady-Fit Valueweight V-Neck T in Royal Blue, the Girls Valueweight T in Fuchsia, and the Lady-Fit 65/35 Polo and Men’s 65/35 Pocket Polo in Heather Grey. Details of all the new colour options are presented in our brochure, 100 Reasons To Pick Fruit, which is available now, in both printed and electronic formats.

100 Reasons To Pick Fruit

Our new product catalogue, 100 Reasons To Pick Fruit delivers precisely what it promises on the cover – 100 compelling product benefits and core brand messages that explain why you and your customers should pick Fruit of the Loom activewear in 2012.

Starting with ‘#01 – We’re one of the world’s largest clothing companies,’ the ‘100 Reasons’ appear throughout the 104-page catalogue alongside boldly coloured numerals set in an assortment of contemporary typefaces. Concise details of standout product features sit alongside key information on the various product ranges, and punchy brand and company messages that convey the scale, reach and ethos of Fruit of the Loom’s global operations.

We’ve complemented the modern graphic theme with stunning lifestyle photographs shot against striking modern urban backdrops. Each of the 75 styles in the 2012 activewear collection is accompanied by full specifications and further illustrated by a detailed product image that clearly shows the garment’s silhouette and finishing details.

New in 2012 is the ‘Logos page’ (page 5), which details all of the logos that are associated with Fruit of the Loom’s ethical and quality focus. A detailed Product summary, comprehensive printed Colour Guide, and useful garment Size Guide, further enhance the catalogue’s user-friendly design.

The layout and structure that we introduced last year proved so popular that we have maintained the same approach for the 2012 catalogue. So once again you’ll find corresponding men and women’s garments presented on the same page or spread, and individual styles grouped into one of seven sections – Promotional Ts, Valueweight Ts, Fashion Ts, Polos, Sweats & Fleece, Work Shirts and Childrens.
We’ve also retained the same compact format, which lends itself to cost effective mailings, and we’ve printed the catalogue on recycled paper, in line with our commitment to minimising the impact we have on the environment.

100 Reasons To Pick Fruit is published in eight languages – English, French, Finnish, German, Italian, Polish, Russian and Spanish. E-catalogue versions are also available in each language (except Finnish), for on-line viewing or to download to your desktop.

Contact us today to order your copy of 100 Reasons To Pick Fruit, free of charge, and/or visit www.fruitoftheloom.eu to view and download the E-catalogue versions.

Introducing the new Lady-Fit Hooded Sweat

Our new and revised 2012 activewear collection sees the launch of the stylish Lady-Fit Hooded Sweat, includes updated designs for our Poplin Shirts, and introduces greater colour continuity across our Mens, Lady-Fit and Childrens ranges.

We view the launch of a single new style in 2012 as a vote of confidence in our existing activewear collection and as a positive decision to avoid adding new styles ‘for the sake of it’. It’s a decision that has been warmly received by Fruit of the Loom’s Authorised Wholesalers: their feedback supports our focus on introducing only those changes that are guaranteed to enhance the imprintable garment offering and make a real difference to our customers’ sales.

The new Lady-Fit Hooded Sweat is being launched specifically to complement our ever-popular Mens Hooded Sweat, filling an important gap in the Hooded Sweats range. (The similarly styled Kids Hooded Sweat is also available, meaning that complementary garments can be supplied in sizes from children’s 5-6 years to adults’ XXL.)
The Lady-Fit style (62-038-0) is made from the same cotton-rich 80% cotton/20% polyester fabric (280 gm/m2) as the Mens Hooded Sweat. Like the Mens style it is produced using quality-assured Belcoro® yarn for a softer feel and a cleaner printing process. Common features across the two products include a double fabric hood with self-coloured draw cord, classic front pouch pocket, and cotton/Lycra® waist and cuff rib for enhanced shape retention. In addition, the new Lady-Fit design has subtly shaped side seams for a more feminine fit.

Available from January 2012, the new Lady-Fit Hooded Sweat comes in sizes XS (8) – XXL (18) and six colours – White, Black, Kelly Green, Fuchsia, Heather Grey, and Deep Navy. All of the colours, apart from Fuchsia, are also available in the Mens version.

Our Poplin Shirts are now an even more compelling option for corporate and hospitality wear, following some important design changes. The shirts now feature a slightly slimmer fit and reshaped pocket for a more modern look, with further changes to the cut of the shoulder area and arms. The result is a range of Mens and Lady-Fit work shirts that are perfectly tailored to the needs of today’s workforce.

Having undertaken a comprehensive review of the colour palette for each of the 75 garment styles in the 2012 collection, we’ve introduced no fewer than 17 colours to key existing styles. The aim is to introduce popular colours to particular lines, whilst bringing the colour palettes of matching Mens and Lady-Fit styles closer together. So, for example, all the Mens and Lady-Fit 65/35 Polos are now available in workwear favourite, Heather Grey, while the Lady-Fit Valueweight V-Neck T sees the addition of Royal Blue, in line with both the crew neck Lady-Fit Valueweight T and the matching Mens styles.

Full details of every Fruit of the Loom garment style – including the new Lady-Fit Hooded Sweat – are presented in our new 104-page catalogue, which is available in eight European languages. Contact us to order your free printed copy, and/or visit www.fruitoftheloom.eu to view and download the E-catalogue versions.

Welcome to our plant

Would you like to know how your Fruit of the Loom garments are made? Then you need to read our Guide to Manufacturing.

This educational booklet will take you deep into the heart of our unique Moroccan manufacturing plant, where we make over 2.3 million T-shirts per week, along with all of our in-house Sweats. It explains and illustrates the techniques we use, and highlights the insights and commitment to quality that sets Fruit of the Loom apart.

You’ll learn about the three key stages of our garment manufacturing process: carding and spinning cotton (stage 1), knitting and dyeing (stage 2), and cutting and sewing (stage 3). We explain how high speed rotor spinning frames turn cotton fibre into high quality yarns; how laser screening technology ensures maximum quality, output and production efficiencies throughout the knitting process; and how highly advanced automated template cutting ensures precisely cut, perfectly fitting garments, and minimum fabric wastage.

Members of the Fruit Club can download a copy of the Guide to Manufacturing free of charge today. You’ll find the link on the newly created Guide to Manufacturing page in the Fruit Club section of our European website. Simply click on the arrow to download the guide as a richly illustrated PDF document.

If you are not already a member of the Fruit Club you’ll need to register. Registration is straightforward and once your membership is approved you’ll be able to download the Guide to Manufacturing immediately.
